…as Gov. Diri pledges more landmark projects
As part of activities marking the 6th anniversary of the Prosperity Administration, Bayelsans trooped out in their numbers to join the Bayelsa State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, for a thanksgiving service held at the Ecumenical Centre in Yenagoa.
In his remarks, Governor Diri acknowledged God as the ultimate giver of power and urged Bayelsans to continually depend on God for their leaders. The Governor, who was accompanied by his wives, Dr. (Mrs.) Gloria Diri and Justice (Mrs.) Patience Ama Diri, reiterated his commitment to sustaining reconciliation across the state, while appreciating Bayelsans for their support. He also pledged that his administration would continue to deliver more landmark projects for the development of Bayelsa State.
In their goodwill messages, former Deputy Governor, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah (Rtd), Hon. Mitema Obordor, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, and the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Samuel Ogbuku, commended Governor Diri’s performance across critical sectors, describing his emergence as the will of God for Bayelsa State.
Delivering the sermon, the Guest Minister and Founder of Refined Peoples Assembly, Daddy-Ken Bitere, admonished the congregation on the topic, “Faithfulness of God,” noting that those who contributed to the emergence of Governor Diri in 2019 were instruments used by God to fulfil His purpose for Bayelsa State.
High points of the event included prayers offered for the Governor, his family, the Bayelsa State Government and the state at large.
