MANDATE
The Ministry of Information, Orientation and Strategy (MOI) is essentially service oriented and ensures public communication, media and public relations, orientation and mass mobilization of the citizenry to promote an informed society. We are driven by a sense of duty and professionalism.

To be an excellent & strategic mouthpiece (voice) of state government that promotes and advances its policies & programme in a manner that ensures everyone is carried along without leaving any room for doubt or confusion especially as it concerns the clarity of our message.

The Bayelsa State Ministry of Information, Orientation and Strategy serves as the official voice of the government.
Our mission is to ensure the timely and accurate communication of government policies and programs to the public. Guided by the core values of Integrity, Teamwork, Resilience, Dignity, and Respect, we strive for excellence in all our endeavors.
Beyond simply passing information, this role extends to using communication as a tool for education and entertainment. By presenting government activities in engaging and relatable formats, Bayelsans are not only kept informed but also enlightened and inspired to participate in the growth and progress of the state.
We ensure timely and accurate communication of government policies and programs to the public.
Hon. (Mrs) Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai
The Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, is a seasoned professional with a diverse background. A qualified Nurse and Midwife, she brings a wealth of experience to this role.
Previously, she served as Chief Whip of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, where she actively participated in legislative processes as a member of the House Committee on Public Service and Establishment.
Her commitment to public service is further evidenced by her tenure as State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC). Currently, she also serves as a member of the Bayelsa State Gratuity Payment Committee
