…as Jonathan, Diri, Dickson and others pay tributes
Bayelsa State held a Day of Tributes in honour of the late Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, at the DSP Alamieyeseigha Memorial Banquet Hall in Yenagoa.
The tribute ceremony, organised by the Bayelsa State Government, formed part of the burial activities to celebrate and honour the life and times of the departed Deputy Governor, who passed away on December 11, 2025, in Yenagoa.

The Governor appreciated all who travelled from far and near to honour the late Deputy Governor, particularly the former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, for standing with the state at the moment of grief.
Also speaking, former Governor of Bayelsa State and Senator representing Bayelsa West, His Excellency Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, described the late Ewhrudjakpo as a brother and friend who was always ready to serve whenever called upon. He thanked attendees for joining the family and the government in celebrating the life of the departed Deputy Governor.
