…as Dr. Ebitimi Peter Berezi Retires
Sagbama, Bayelsa State – The Bayelsa State–owned Isaac Jasper Boro College of Education, Sagbama, has announced the appointment of Dr. Appah Ebimobowei as the Acting Provost of the institution.
Dr. Ebimobowei takes over from Dr. Ebitimi Peter Berezi, who has meritoriously retired after years of purposeful leadership and undeniable impact as Provost of the College.
The transition was formalized in a symbolic and momentous handover ceremony, where Dr. Berezi passed the mantle of leadership to his Deputy, Dr. Ebimobowei. The event signified more than an administrative shift — it represented the continuity of vision, responsibility, and commitment to elevating the College to greater heights.
Speaking at the ceremony, stakeholders described Dr. Berezi’s tenure as a period marked by dedication and progress, noting that his leadership has left a strong foundation for his successor to build upon. The occasion was also seen as the opening of a new chapter for the College, in line with the saying: “a chapter closes, a new chapter begins.”
Special appreciation was extended to the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, and the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Dr. Gentle Emelah, for their unwavering support in strengthening education and ensuring continuity in leadership within the institution.
With Dr. Appah Ebimobowei now at the helm as Acting Provost, expectations are high that the College will continue to thrive, consolidating on past achievements and charting new paths for academic excellence and institutional growth.
