Bayelsa Commissioner for Education Dr Gentle Emelah received Bayelsa Born Scholar, Master Numa Precious Keme of Ido Comprehensive Secondary School Egbemo-Angalabiri, in Ekeremor LGA nominated for WAEC Vatebra Merit Award as the best overall male candidate in public secondary schools In Nigeria.
Numa Precious Keme cleared his WAEC with an astonishing 8 A’s and 1B which earned him the nomination as the best candidate in Nigeria from a Public Secondary School for the 2024 Examinations.
He is set to be awarded at the 63rd Annual Meeting of the Nigerian National Committee (NNC) in Abia State come November 2025.
While receiving the Awardee, Dr Emelah congratulated Master Numa for making Bayelsa State proud restating that the Gov. Douye Diri led administration has improved educational outcomes of Bayelsa State and results of this nature are testaments of it.
The Commissioner made a cash presentation to Master Numa with a promise that when he returns from the National Council Meeting with his National Award from WAEC he will be presented to the Bayelsa State Governor His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri Governor of Bayelsa State.
He commeded His Principal, Mrs. Jane Wareyai Emomotimi for her efforts in grooming the scholar and service to Bayelsa State.
